The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a case of vandalism involving racial slurs and vulgar images on barns in Ashburn.
A county resident was walking their dog April 12 in the area of Withorne Way and Reservoir Road in Ashburn when they saw the graffiti and called LCSO.
The graffiti included several swastikas, racial slurs, vulgar language and phallic images. The graffiti was reported to the LCSO on April 12 but is believed to have occurred sometime between April 8 and April 9.
Public Information Office Kraig Troxell said LCSO is aware of the anti-Semitic and anti-religious graffiti that occurred in Fairfax County April 11 to a church and Jewish Community Center but do not believe this vandalism is related to those cases.
The barns are located on Northern Virginia Parks Authority land and were not in use at the time of the vandalism, Troxell said.
