UPDATE: Driver Killed in Early Morning Leesburg Crash

A head-on collision in the early hours of March 22 left one dead, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

The lone passenger in the struck car, 28-year-old Michael Larrick, was killed in the collision on Route 15 near Raspberry Falls Golf Course north of Leesburg. A one-passenger vehicle driving southbound crossed the center lane of the two-lane road and stuck Larrick driving in a Subaru Impreza head-on, according to the LCSO.

The driver in the southbound car, a 2008 Ford F-150, suffered no significant injuries and declined medial attention at the scene, LCSO Public Information Officer Kraig Troxell said. The collision is still under investigation and charges are pending.

The collision slowed traffic in both lanes around the accident scene for several hours. The incident was first reported shortly before 6 a.m. and occurred near the intersection of Route 15 and Montresor Road north of Leesburg.
