Charges Dismissed Against Loudoun Deputy

Two criminal summonses obtained by a citizen against a Loudoun Sheriff’s Office Deputy were dismissed last week in Loudoun County General District Court.

On Aug. 24, a citizen appeared before a Loudoun County Magistrate and obtained the summonses for simple assault and disorderly conduct against Deputy Eric Miller related to an alleged domestic assault outside the Loudoun County Courthouse in January.

The charges were dropped on Sept. 13 after a review by the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney.

Deputy Miller returned to duty last week after being on paid administrative leave.
