A Loudoun County teacher was arrested April 21 on suspicion of driving under the influence and having an open container of alcohol inside the school.
Around 8:40 a.m., a Sterling Middle School staff member told a Loudoun Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) School Resource Officer that a teacher might be drunk.
Deputies determined the teacher, Megan A. Debo, 29, had driven to school and had alcohol in her possession while on school property, LCSO officials said.
She was charged with DUI and possessing or drinking an alcoholic beverage in a public school or on public school grounds during school hours.
Debo is at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on a $2,000 secured bond.
