Dominion High School Threat Deemed Not Legitimate

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is advising threats made on social media towards Dominion High School are not legitimate.

The LCSO School Resource Officer learned of the threat posted on the social media platform Snapchat the evening of May 2. LCSO Public Information Officer Kraig Troxell said the threat appeared to be indirect and LCSO and LCPS continue to investigate the circumstances around the threat.

The student who made the post was identified and located. Although there were guns inside the home that belonged to a relative, the investigation determined there is no threat to the school. Deputies removed the guns from the house.

Additional deputies have been stationed at Dominion May 3 as a precaution, Troxell said. LCSO is working with the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney to determine if there are any possible charges.
