Herndon Man Charged with Sexually Abusing Child

A Herndon man has been charged with sexually abusing a juvenile over the course of the past four years.

Eric Judy, 53, is charged with carnal knowledge of a child (13-15-years-old), taking indecent liberties with a child by person in custodial or supervisory relationship and production of child pornography, according to a release from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

LCSO became aware of the allegations on May 1 after the victim confided the information to a family member. The victim, who is now 17, reported the suspect had sexually abused him since May 2013 when he was 13-years-old.

The suspect, who was a family friend, often took the child alone on trips in Loudoun and across Virginia as well as other parts of the United States. Detectives with the Loudoun Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit are reaching out to the other jurisdictions as part of the continuing investigation.

Judy was arrested last night at his home by members of the Fairfax County Police Department. He remains held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.

Anyone with any additional information regarding this case is asked to contact Detective E. Wilk of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit at 703-777-0475.
