LCSO Investigates Attempted Sexual Assault: Suspects At Large
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported attempted sexual assault on the Washington and Old Dominion Trail just east of Sterling Boulevard.
The victim reported that she was walking on the trail around 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 17 when she was approached by two unknown men. The suspects approached her from a wooded area and pulled at her and her clothing before physically assaulting her, according to the LCSO release.
A bicyclist rode by the area, causing the suspects to flee. The first suspect was described as a black male, 6’2” tall, with a thin build, black curly hair and wearing a black shirt. The second suspect was described as a shorter black male with a thin build, black curly hair and wearing a gray shirt.
The LCSO asks anyone who witnessed the assault or has information regarding the identity of the suspects to contact Detective P. Beaver of the Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475.
The LCSO will have an increased presence in the area and will be conducting directed patrols on the trail. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity by calling 703-777-1021.
