Snow emergency route restrictions have been lifted in Leesburg after the March 13 snow storm. Cars may now park along King, Loudoun and Market Streets.
Meanwhile, the Town annoucned full storm recovery operations will continue during the overnight hours of March 14 and into March 15. Throughout the night, crews will continue to push snow off roadways, clear intersections and treat roadways with a sand and salt mixture in preparation for sub-freezing temperatures tonight and tomorrow morning, according to a release from the Town office.
Though precipitation has continued to taper off, below freezing temperatures are likely to result in black ice on the roadways. Officials encourage drivers to use extreme caution, particularly after dark, if driving cannot be avoided.
The Leesburg Snow Hotline has ceased operations this evening. Residents can still use the online form to report snow removal concerns or problems.
