Leesburg Unveils Bike Mural

A small crowd gathered at the Leesburg Town Hall Parking Garage in front of a vibrant mural now adorning the wall of the bike rack.

The mural will hopefully be the first of many, Leesburg Mayor David Butler said at the dedication event during the Leesburg Fine Arts Festival Sept. 24. As the town continues to grow and mature, Butler hopes more murals will decorate the town.

Tom O’Neil, chair of the Commission on Public Art, recognized the Friends of Leesburg Public Art for funding the mural project, Robert Cassell from the Leesburg Sherwin Williams store for the paint donation, Kevin Dunn of Hopps Art Lounge for the mural design and the many local residents and Tuscarora High School students who volunteered to paint the mural.
