Loudoun County Chamber to host “State of the Economy”

Buddy Rizer, Executive Director of Loudoun County’s Department of Economic Development and Dr. Terry Clower, Director of George Mason University’s Center for Regional Analysis, will headline the Loudoun County Chamber’s 2016 “State of the Economy” forum at Belmont Country Club July 13.

Rizer and Clower will be joined by Ms. Generra J. Peck, vice president for Infrastructure and Economic Development at McGuireWoods Consulting LLC, and an expert on Virginia’s new regional economic development strategy, GO Virginia. Together these individuals will explore the implications of our region’s pivot away from the federal marketplace towards more diverse national and international markets, and how GO Virginia can facilitate that transformation.

“The Washington metropolitan area is undergoing an historic realignment away from a dependence on federal dollars and Loudoun County is at the leading edge of this transition,” said the Loudoun County Chamber’s Government Affairs Manager Brian Fauls.
