The Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services’ department is hosting a 50th Anniversary kickoff event Aug. 13 at Franklin Park in Purcellville.

The event will include music, food, refreshments, giant inflatables, children’s activities, giveaways and fireworks. There will also be a live broadcast from the event by 92.5 WINC FM.

“PRCS has played a key role in creating community in Loudoun County for 50 years, and we are excited about a new chapter in our history,” said department director Steve Torphy via press release. “I would like to personally invite everyone in the Loudoun community to celebrate with us on August 13, to take advantage of all that PRCS offers, and to create new memories with us as we begin the next 50 years.”
