Movies in the Park Returns to Leesburg

Summer in Leesburg means pool visits, camping trips and Movies in the Park.

For the fourth straight year, the Town of Leesburg will once again host its Movies in the Park, scheduled to begin May 19.  This free series will feature an evening movie on the third Friday of each month throughout the summer, hosted at Ida Lee Park.

Started as a Town Council initiative four years ago, the events have drawn several hundreds in years past. After hosting the event on Thursday nights last year, organizers are expecting increasing turnout as it returns to Friday.

This summer’s dates and movies are:

· May 19: “Annie” (2014)
· June 16: “Little Giants”
· July 21: “Air Bud”
· August 18: “The Pink Panther” (2006)

Show time will begin at dusk, between 8:15pm and 8:45pm. Picnics and blankets are encouraged. Pets, glass containers, and alcohol are prohibited.
