Ride-Sharing: Driver Arrested for DUI in Ashburn

An Ashburn resident became suspicious when a ride-sharing driver arrived to pick them up about 11 p.m. Sept. 6.

The resident refused the ride and called the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

As a result, Jacob S. Paredes, 24, of Maryland, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

According to a LCSO report, deputies were able to locate the vehicle from the resident’s description and observed Paredes driving recklessly in the area of Russell Branch Parkway and Exchange Street.

Paredes was then taken into custody. He was being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
