UPDATE: Victim of Early Morning Route 28 Crash Identified

1:11 p.m. Feb. 21 Update: The victim has been identified as Gabrielle M. Perry, 22, of Leesburg. The group had been coming from the Chantilly area at the time of the crash, according to LCSO officials.

Original story: The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single vehicle crash that took the life of a Leesburg woman.

The driver, Andre M. Glenn, 26, of Sterling, was traveling north on Route 28 in a Jeep Wrangler when he hit a traffic divider. The victim and another female passenger were thrown from the car. Glenn and a male passenger remained inside the vehicle, LCSO Public Information Officer Aleksandra Kowalski said.

Glenn and the two surviving passengers were not seriously injured. Glenn was charged with DUI and Driving on a Suspended License. The crash remains under investigation.
