Sterling Man Arrested for Sexual Assault of Minors, Child Pornography

Chase C. Peklo, 19, of Sterling, was arrested Feb. 16 and charged with carnal knowledge of a minor and involvement with child pornography, following a joint investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) and Fairfax County Police Department.

On Feb. 6, the Adrenaline Dance Studio, located at 8400 block of Tyco Road, McLean, contacted Fairfax County Police to report an alleged sexual offense that had occurred between a student and one of their instructors. Preliminary investigation determined that Peklo was inappropriately communicating with a 13-year-old and two 14-year-old girls from December 2015 to November 2016, one of which was from Loudoun County, Fairfax Police Department Public Information Officer Megan Hawkins said.

It is also alleged that he had a sexual relationship with one of the girls while she was 14, according to a Fairfax Police release. Peklo was a dance instructor at “Adrenaline Dance Studio” as well as at “Stage Door” located in the 7200 block of New Market Court, Manassas.

Detectives with the LCSO Special Victims Unit investigated further and determined that the suspect had a sexual relationship with the Loudoun girl in the late summer of 2016.

In addition to charges in Loudoun, Peklo faces six felony charges in Fairfax County — carnal knowledge of child between thirteen and fifteen years of age and five counts of possession, reproduction, distribution, solicitation and facilitation of child pornography.

Pelko is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond, said LCSO public information officer Kraig Troxell.

LCSO and Fairfax PD detectives believe that there may be other victims and would like to hear from anyone who may be concerned that their child might have had inappropriate contact with Peklo.
