If you are a registered voter in the towns of Hamilton, Lovettsville, Middleburg, Purcellville or Round Hill, Election Day is coming up May 1.
Absentee balloting has already begun for those races. Absentee ballots can be requested at elections.virginia.gov or in person at the Loudoun County Department of Elections and Voter Registration, 750 Miller Drive SE in Leesburg. The office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Voters may also cast absentee ballots in person at the office from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 28.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail for the May 1 elections is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24. The last day to vote an absentee ballot in person is Saturday, April 28.
The deadline to register to vote or update voter information in advance of the town elections is Monday, April 9.

HAMILTON: One person, David R. Simpson, is on the ballot for mayor. Three candidates, Craig M. Green, Rebecca A. Jones and Michael E. Snyder, are running for three town council seats.
LOVETTSVILLE Nate O. Fontaine and Kris M. Consaul are on the ballot for mayor. Christopher M. Hornbaker, Renee E. Edmonston, Nicholas R. Hayward, Matthew R. Schilling, William W. Hyde and Meredith S. Kopp are on the ballot for three town council seats. Michael D. Dunlap is on the ballot for a town council seat expiring June 30, 2020.
MIDDLEBURG: Vincent J. Bataoel, Mark T. Snyder and Trowbridge M. “Bridge” Littleton are on the ballot for mayor. C. Darlene Kirk, Peter A. Leonard-Morgan, Kevin P. Hazard, Cindy Craun Pearson, Kristin K. Noggle, M.D. “Mimi” Stein and Chris W. Bernard are on the ballot for four town council seats.
