An Alexandria man has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with a double homicide early Monday morning (May 14) at Pharaoh Cafe in Sterling.
Hassan M. Gailani, 34, is charged with two counts of first degree murder and one count of use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Loudoun County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the hookah lounge located in the 46000 block of Old Ox Road around 1:45 a.m. for a report of a shooting. The victims were identified as Ahmed S. Osman, 35, of Sterling and Murtada A. Marof, 40, of Herndon.
The suspect was apprehended in his vehicle by deputies responding to the scene as he attempted to leave the area.
Gailani remains held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
