The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is accepting application for its 43rd Citizens’ Police Academy.
Classes begin March 14 and are held each Thursday evening through May 30. Each session begins at 7 p.m. and lasts about 2 1/2 hours. Class locations will be announced for each session.
Members of the class will participate in training classes taught by LCSO personnel. The classes provide an overview of all the aspects of law enforcement within the agency. Members of the class may also have the option of participating in a ride-a-long with a deputy after completing the academy.
The free classes are open to Loudoun County residents 18 and older. To enroll, contact Faye Sapp at 703-737-8238, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or by email at Faye.Sapp@loudoun.gov.
Registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Enrollment is limited to 25 participants.
This is the first of two Citizens’ Police Academies held by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office this year. The next session will be held in the Fall of 2019.
