Ashburn Burglary Suspect Arrested

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) announced the arrest of Theresa H. Gibbs, 54, of Lovettsville, for a home burglary in Ashburn on August 10.

Gibbs faces four felony charges: entering a dwelling during the day with intent to commit larceny; grand larceny; possession of schedule 2 narcotics; and obtaining drugs by fraud, deceit, misrepresentation.

According to the LCSO, video inside the home in the 41900 Block of Greenlook Lane showed that the suspect entered the garage shortly before 10:15 a.m.  Gibbs proceeded upstairs to the master bedroom where she stole prescription medication from the bathroom.

At the time of the burglary Gibbs was employed by a local dog walking company, which is cooperating with LCSO detectives. LCSO is also working to determine if there are other victims.

Gibbs was served with the warrants on Monday and was released on a personal recognizance bond from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
