Ashburn Man Charged With Assaulting Woman Holding Baby

An Ashburn man was arrested May 11 and charged with domestic assault and child endangerment after he allegedly struck a female acquaintance while she was holding a baby.

According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Gershom V. Gutierrez-Lizama, 21 of Ashburn, was taken into custody about 8 p.m. in the 1000 block of E. Maple Ave. in Sterling.

LCSO responded to that location in reference to an assault involving an acquaintance of the victim. She said Gutierrez-Lizama assaulted her while she was holding a baby and the baby’s head hit the vehicle behind the female.

The infant was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Gutierrez-Lizama was released from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on a secured bond.
