Ashburn Park, at 43645 Partlow Road in Ashburn, will be closing Aug. 31 for repairs and renovations.
The Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services announced the temporary closure to allow construction projects that include repair and replacement of footings, decking and guardrails for two aging bridges and repair of creek wall erosion in the park.
The entire facility will be closed to the public, including the playgrounds, to allow access for heavy equipment and ensure the safety of anyone who might try to use the park during construction.
PRCS expects the repairs to be finished and the park reopened in late October.
