The pop-up business kiosks have just been dropped in by crane and the first client is getting ready to move in at One Loudoun in Ashburn.

B. Doughnut, which has locations around Washington, D.C., including Leesburg, hopes to be serving its Portuguese-style doughnuts in the 180-square-foot shipping container by late September, according to a One Loudoun media representative.

She said the kiosks are “high-end” with have hardwood floors, and B. Doughnut plans to add a deck for outside seating.

One Loudoun plans to open two of the pop-up kiosks open behind Uncle Julios.

Founders Brian and Pin Chanthapanya opened a B. Doughnut cafe in Leesburg in December of 2016.  They serve malasadas – Portuguese doughnuts, in a variety of flavors.

The Leesburg cafe is open from 8 a.m. to noon on Thursdays and Fridays and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday and Sunday, according to their voice mail.

According to Wikipedia, a malasada is a Portuguese confection, made of egg-sized balls of yeast dough that are deep-fried in oil and coated with granulated sugar. They were first made by inhabitants of the Madeira islands.
