Sheriff’s Office Investigates Sterling Burglary

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) is investigating a burglary at a home on Clarion Terrace in Sterling where the suspect reportedly groped the victim as she slept. The suspect has not been found.

The victim told deputies she was awakened by an unknown man shortly before 4:43 a.m. May 24. The man was touching her as she slept in her bed and fled the home when she woke up without saying anything to the victim.

The suspect was described as a black man, medium height with a stocky build and short hair. He was wearing a black sweatshirt and baggy blue jeans at the time of the incident. There were no signs of forced entry into the home, LCSO officials said.

Deputies established a perimeter and searched the area with a K9 unit but did not find the suspect.
