ORIGINAL STORY: The Leesburg Police Department is investigating a bomb threat at Tuscarora High School.

All students are safe and have been evacuated to Heritage High School, said Loudoun County Public Schools public information officer Wayde Byard.

The school grounds were searched prior to evacuating the students, to make sure there was nothing outside that could harm students or staff, Byard said.

Leesburg Police Department and the Virginia State Police are searching the school. Byard said students are being fed lunch at Heritage High School and will be escorted back to Tuscarora High School to collect cars and other belongings at an undetermined time once the building has been cleared.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
