Fredericksburg Man Cited For DWI After Driving Car Onto Golf Course

A Fredericksburg man was charged with DWI and possession of marijuana after driving his vehicle onto 1757 Club Golf Course, nearly striking several people and crashing into a wood bridge.

According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Christopher L. Luedtke, 33, of Frederickburg, was taken into custody about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 26) and charged with DWI (second in 10 years) and possession of marijuana. Deputies were dispatched after reports of a intoxicated driver traveling on the western part of the golf course and almost hitting pedestrians.

Luedtke was being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
