You can honor someone who brightens your world and help support the Nursing Scholarship Fund of the Ladies Board of Inova Loudoun Hospital during the Lights of Love celebration on Dec. 2.
You can purchase a light to honor someone special in your life — a teacher, friend, family member, public servant — or use the light to honor the memory of someone who has touched your life. The ceremony begins at 5 p.m. on Dec. 2 at Inova Loudoun Hospital’s Atrium. Complimentary valet parking will be available from 4:15 to 7:30 p.m. at the south entrance, 44045 Riverside Parkway in Leesburg.
The ceremony will feature live music and refreshments, the tree lighting, reading the names of the honorees and the attendees lighting their candles.
“We are delighted to have the Loudoun County High School Chamber Choir present a holiday concert,” said Joan Elliott, co-chair of the Lights of Love Committee. “What better time than the joyous holiday season to honor special people in our lives.”
The Chamber Choir is under the direction of Willis Rosenfeld, a professional accompanist.
All donations to Lights of Love, a year-round fundraising project, are given to the Nursing Scholarship Fund. The Ladies Board awarded scholarships totaling $110,500 to 51 nursing students this year.
Brochures for purchasing lights can be obtained from Twice Is Nice thrift store (305 E. Market St., Leesburg) or The Gift Shop at Inova Loudoun Hospital. They also can be downloaded at LadiesBoard.org. For more information, call 703-771-2985.
