Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office: Shooting in Ashburn Isolated, No Wider Public Threat

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has released a statement about a shooting Sunday in Ashburn, informing the general public that the incident in considered to only involve two people and that there was never any threat to the general public.

LCSO deputies responded about 3 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 11) to the 21000 block of Blossom Hill Terrace in Ashburn after receiving a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

That man and a female were found in a vehicle in the parking lot of the apartment complex at the location.

The man was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation determined the two people knew each other and the incident involved only the two people in that car.

Detectives determined there were no other subjects involved in the case and there is no threat to the public. The firearm involved in the incident was recovered near the scene.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
