Loudoun County Teen Named Youth Ambassador for Washington International Horse Show

A Loudoun County teenager has been selected as the Youth Ambassador for the 2018 Washington International Horse Show next month.

Ana Bertozzi, 16, of Leesburg, will serve as the organization’s youth spokesperson and chair the WIHS Junior Committee, which initiates and works on volunteer activities, horse-related youth programs and community-focused educational events.

Junior Committee members represent the show’s youth perspective and support WIHS staff while gaining hands-on experience.

Bertozzi is a senior at Rock Ridge High School.

Bertozzi competes in the 3-foot, 6-inch Equitation event with her horse, Giorgio. She said she thinks the Gambler’s Choice event is a highlight of the show, because she enjoys watching top riders jump difficult courses in ridiculous costumes.

The 60th Annual Washington International Horse Show is scheduled Oct. 23-28 at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.  For more information, visit wihs.org.
