Loudoun Men Are Cooking Nov. 3 to Raise Money for Scholarships

The National Conference Center is the host and title sponsor of Loudoun Men Are Cooking 2018: a Taste of Loudoun charity event Nov. 3 at The National.

Loudoun Men Are Cooking combines a fundraiser, tasting event and chef competition between professionals and amateurs. The chefs will prepare gourmet food for more than 500 guests, who will get to vote for the Best Professional Chef and “Best Amateur Chef” in various categories.

The event is co-sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Psi Rho Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and Sigma Mu Mu Chapter. Proceeds benefit Pearls of Loudoun Endowment, an affiliate of the Educational Advancement Foundation.

Since it was started in 2014, Loudoun Men Are Cooking has awarded more than $68,000 to 60 college-bound students in Loudoun County.

After sampling appetizers, side dishes, entrees and desserts, guests can enjoy a live performance by Just’s Friends Band and Show.

The National is offering a special overnight room package for guests with rates ranging from $109 for a standard room to $159 for a suite.
