Milling and Paving Set  to Begin Aug. 1 on Main Street in Purcellville

The Virginia Department of Transportation has announced that milling and paving on Main Street in Purcellville is scheduled to begin Aug. 1.
During the work, which is scheduled to be completed by Aug. 24, alternating, one-lane traffic will be controlled by flaggers. The work will be completed between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday through Friday, weather permitting.
The road being worked on begins just west of 32nd Street and ends near the Berling Turnpike. Residents are asked to remove vehicles, basketball hoops, trash cans and other personal property that might hinder the work before Wednesday, Aug. 1.
Drivers are asked to be aware of work zones, drive through with caution, watch for turning or stopping vehicles, entering and exiting construction traffic, and to be alert for changes in traffic patterns in areas where the paving is being performed.
