Mocha Moms of Loudoun County donated gift cards the group collected to the Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter.
The local chapter collected the gift cards totaling $1,000 during a gift card collection event at Gum Springs Library.
The cards were presented by Mocha Moms of Loudoun County to Lynn Espinoza, assistant manager of the Resourceful Woman Thrift Store that is owned and operated by LAWS. The Resourceful Woman Thrift Store is a LAWS program that offers gently used and new clothing, books and household items at reasonable prices to the community. Some items are offered absolutely free to transitioning shelter residents. The proceeds from the Resourceful Woman help fund many of LAWS initiatives.
Mocha Moms of Loudoun County is a local chapter of Mocha Moms, a national organization providing “Sisterhood, Support, and Service” to mothers of color throughout the United States.
