Morning Fatality: Jeep Flips In Sterling

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances of a fatal crash that occurred shortly before 6 a.m. on October 19 in the Sterling, Va. area.

Loudoun Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of Pebble Run Place and Overland Drive where the driver of a Jeep Wrangler lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons. The vehicle rolled several times and the driver lost his life at the scene. The name of the driver has not been released and is pending notification of next of kin.

A witness reported seeing the driver of the Jeep and the driver of another vehicle, possibly a two-door sedan, traveling at a high rate of speed in the area just prior to the crash. The vehicle was described as dark in color and possibly a Honda or a Toyota. The driver of the vehicle left the area.
