The Town of Purcellville has announced that its Christmas parade, which was postponed Dec. 15 because of rain, has been rescheduled for noon this Saturday, Dec. 22.
The parade will start at Loudoun Valley High School, turn right onto Main Street, then right onto North 21st Street and conclude just past the Purcellville Train Station at the Vulcan Concrete Plant. The parade is expected to conclude about 1:30 p.m.
Due to record-breaking rainfall, the decision to postpone the parade was made Dec. 15 for the safety of all the participants and attendees.
The Purcellville Economic Development Committee is hosting a Christmas Parade Float Contest with first-, second- and third-place prizes donated by Purcellville Chick-Fil-A, Magnolias at the Mill, and Dunkin Donuts. Members of EDAC will judge the floats and decide the winners.
