LCSO Still Investigating Fatal Sterling Crash
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two vehicle crash that took the life of a Sterling woman on March 7.
Dorothy Pearson, 65, lost her life at the scene, according to a release from the LCSO.
The crash occurred around 4 p.m. in the area of Cascades Parkway between Maries Road and Woodland Road. The driver of a Ford Expedition southbound had a possible medical emergency when his vehicle crossed the center median and struck an oncoming PT Cruiser driven by Pearson, said LCSO public information officer Kraig Troxell.
The driver of the Expedition and a passenger were taken to Reston Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The roadway was closed for about four hours. The crash remains under investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit.
