Village at Leesburg Kicks Off Holidays With Tree Lighting Festival Nov. 17

The Village Leesburg kicks off the holiday season Nov. 17 with the ninth annual Tree Lighting Festival.

The free event is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. The festivities include horse-drawn carriage rides, a capella musical performances by Clear Harmonies, holiday characters, visits with Santa Claus, gingerbread house making with the Conche, glow-in the-dark activities and treats after dark.

The free horse-drawn carriage rides will run from 3 to 9 p.m. Santa arrives by horse-drawn carriage to light the spectacular musical tree. This five-story tall tree has a snowfall topper and more than 15,000 dazzling lights that perform daily music and light shows.

Visitors are encouraged to bring a toy to be donated to Toys for Tots. We are proud to partner with Loudoun Toys for Toys.

The Tree Lighting Festival will be the first Village at Leesburg event at which visitors will be able to “Drink in the Good Life.” The new policy allows visitors to order a glass of wine, beer or cocktail from 5 Tara, BurgerFi, Eggspectation, Firebirds, Plaza Azteca, The Conche or Travinia and ask for it to go. The bartender will serve the beverage in a disposable Drink in the Good Life cup, allowing the customer to roam the Village shopping, relaxing by the fountain or enjoying  events like the Tree Light Festival. Alcohol cannot be brought into the Village, and to-go beverages are allowed only in designated areas.
