The Virginia State Police issued a statement today (Oct. 30) saying charges are pending in the case of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle Oct. 29 in Loudoun County.
According to VSP, the incident was reported about 7:41 p.m.on Oct. 29. The caller said a pedestrian was struck in the westbound lanes of Route 7 at Potomac View Road.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the man ran into moving traffic and was struck by a westbound Chevrolet Tahoe. The man was flown to George Washington University Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The Virginia State Police Crash Reconstruction Team responded to the scene to take measurements and investigate.
Charges are possible when the investigation is complete.
