We’re All Human Walk for Mental Health Awareness set for Oct. 4

The second We’re All Human Luminary Walk, supporting mental health awareness and suicide prevention, is scheduled Oct. 4 at Briar Woods High School.

The family community event is free and there will be activities for all ages. Advocacy ribbon t-shirts are being sold in the BWHS school store for $15.

The event begins at 7 p.m. and the night will end with a silent luminary walk at 8:45 p.m. to honor people suffering with mental health issues. A donation is requested for luminaries that will be displayed in honor or support of a loved one.

The first walk back in April was created by Advanced Marketing, Briar Woods DECA, We’re All Human and Sources of Strength.

Multiple co-curricular clubs, sports teams and community members will come together to focus on the Sources of Strength and how the community can come together to improve lives and help people reach out for help.

Themes include “You Are Not Alone,” and “It Does Get Better.”
